System Admin Console

Super Admins have access to the System Admin Console, which contains management of all aspects of the system. There are also important security tools in place, detailed below.
User actions
Access Logs
Super Admins can also view the access log for the system. The access log shows users, their permission level, date access was granted and date revoked if applicable. Who gave the user access can also be seen by clicking the “more” button. Historic rows are shaded grey.
Teams
Super Admins can add and edit Teams on the system. These teams are assigned to users once they are created. Staff can only see their team’s events, unless they are an Administrator or Super Admin.
Session Activity
The activity log details who is logged on/who has logged on, when they logged on and how long their session has been. Anyone can be logged out by clicking “force stop.” This access is only available to Super Admins.
Workers
Pay grades
Super Admins can set and amend pay grades for student workers, as well as the post title of these grades for payroll purposes. These should be listed including Holiday Pay, and with Validity dates.
Groups
Super Admins have the ability for to create and manage schemes, groups and parent groups. Groups represent a wide range of attributes, such as UEA school, or if a worker has a DBS check and can be applied by Workflow or manually.
Parent Group
A parent group is exactly that, its a group which contains other groups! They are created using the + next to the tabs for parent groups.
Schemes
Schemes are a special type of group. If a group is listed as a scheme it shows up in the list of schemes on the filters and sign up form, as well as controlling if a worker is active.
Schools
Schools are filtered separately and sorted by faculty.
Faculties
Faculties are a special kind of parent group, containing only schools. These are listed in the filters as schools and not groups.
Events
Event Categories
Event Categories can be amended and created from here.
Job Types and Categories
Job Types and Categories can be amended and created from here. In summary, a category is Recruitment or Outreach for example, so the broad area of work, where as a type is the nature of the work such as Campus Tour or Office Work.
Shifts
All shifts
Only System Admins have access to this screen, which details all shifts undertaken through this system and acts as a master record.
System Administration
Global System Settings
This is the single most flexible part of the system, and also the single most dangerous to play with. It is equivalent to the Registry in Windows, and these keys are replaced by their values in the back end. For example, inboxes are configured and email headers and footers are stored. Compliance statements can also be amended here.
